The spark tester (high voltage holiday detector) is a portable NDT device based on the high voltage spark discharge principle, used to detect pinholes, bubbles, cracks, and other discontinuities in non-conductive coatings on metal substrates. The instrument applies adjustable high voltage to the coating surface via a probe. When the probe passes over a defect, the high voltage arcs through the air gap, generating a visible spark and audible/visual alarm to quickly locate the defect. Lightweight, long battery life, with interchangeable brush probes (flat, annular,扇形, etc.) for pipes, tanks, ships, and chemical equipment. Widely used for pipeline coating acceptance, tank lining assessment, ship ballast tank coating inspection, and electrical equipment insulation fault detection.
