The safety helmet anti-static tester is a specialized device designed according to EN 397, ANSI Z89.1, and GB/T 2812 standards to evaluate the anti-static performance of safety helmets, engineering plastics, and head protection. It uses the parallel electrode method with a high-precision resistance meter to measure surface resistivity, determining whether it meets the anti-static requirement (≤1×10⁹Ω). Under controlled temperature and humidity, two parallel metal foil electrodes (100mm×1mm) are attached to the flat outer surface of the helmet, a 100V DC test voltage is applied, and the resistance value is recorded. The test is repeated after swapping electrodes, and the average is taken.
