This paint film chalking tester is used to determine the chalking and weathering degree of paint films and similar coatings. It is ideal portable testing equipment for coating aging performance in paint manufacturers, quality inspection institutions and research universities.
Test Principle: Using the Kempf method, a specified load is applied to the coated test panel under controlled conditions. A paper print is taken and compared with standard samples to determine the chalking grade.

Test Procedure:
Prepare test panel according to standard requirements
Adjust pressure range (0-50N, 0-100N, 0-150N, 0-200N, 0-250N)
Place panel on tray, soak in room temperature water for 4 minutes
Remove moisture from paper with filter paper (glossy side facing coating)
Press evenly to scale value, lift handle
Compare paper with standard samples to determine chalking grade

Clean instrument before and after use to avoid oil contamination
Do not loosen components to maintain accuracy
Store in dry, ventilated area after cleaning
