This mortar segregation tester (also known as mortar water retention tester or mortar layer porosity apparatus) is used to determine the water retention capacity (consistency stability) of mortar during transportation and standing. The mortar segregation value is calculated by measuring the difference in penetration before and after a 30-minute standing period to evaluate the anti-segregation ability of mortar.
Structural Design: Features a two-part detachable metal cylinder with an inner diameter of 150mm, an upper section height of 200mm, and a lower section height of 100mm. The two parts are connected by bolts for easy assembly and disassembly.
Test Principle: Fill the cylinder with mortar and let it stand for 30 minutes. Measure the penetration difference between the upper and lower layers. A smaller difference indicates better water retention and stronger anti-segregation ability.
Material & Process: Made of metal steel plate for durability, with smooth inner wall for easy cleaning.
Technical Parameters: Packing dimension 250×250×400mm, net weight approx. 15kg.
Mainly used in construction site laboratories, mortar manufacturers, quality inspection institutions, research universities, and more for testing water retention and anti-segregation performance of mortar.
