Product Features & Attributes
This low film formation temperature tester is used to determine the minimum film formation temperature (MFT) of polymer emulsions and surface treatment agents. It is ideal testing equipment for quality control in coatings, adhesives, synthetic fabrics, leather and paper industries.
Working Principle: Cooling and heating sources are set on a metal gradient plate, maintaining constant temperature points at their respective set temperatures. Through metal thermal conduction, different temperature gradients are created on the plate. The sample is evenly applied on the gradient plate and dries to form a film under the influence of the temperature gradient. Since temperatures vary across the plate, film formation differs. The temperature at the boundary between film formation and non-formation is the MFT of the sample.
