This kinematic viscometer (also known as petroleum viscometer or Ubbelohde viscometer) uses the Ubbelohde capillary method, specifically designed for determining kinematic viscosity of transparent and opaque liquid petroleum products. The sample flows through a capillary under gravity, and viscosity is calculated by measuring the flow time over a specified volume. It is ideal equipment for kinematic viscosity analysis in petroleum, chemical, research, and quality inspection fields.
Test Principle: Ubbelohde capillary method - at a specified temperature, measure the time it takes for a fixed volume of liquid petroleum product to flow through a capillary viscometer, then calculate the kinematic viscosity value using a formula.
Technical Features:
Precision Constant Temperature Bath: Equipped with high-precision constant temperature bath, temperature range ambient to 100°C, temperature accuracy ±0.01°C~±0.1°C, ensuring stable test environment temperature
Wide Measuring Range: Measuring range 0.5~5000 mm²/s, covering light to heavy oil products
Multiple Test Holes: 4 test holes for simultaneous testing of multiple samples, improving efficiency
High-Precision Timing: Timing accuracy 0.01 seconds, ensuring accurate flow time measurement
Dual Detection Methods: Optional photoelectric detection or thermistor detection, adaptable to different sample types
Technical Parameters: Power supply 220V/50Hz. Overall dimension 530×400×670mm, net weight approx. 28kg.
Available in different specifications: different measuring ranges (e.g., 0.5~2000 mm²/s, 1~5000 mm²/s, etc.) and different numbers of test holes (2 holes, 4 holes, 6 holes, etc.) to meet various petroleum product types and different testing standards.
Mainly used in petrochemical enterprises, quality inspection institutions, research universities, oil testing laboratories, and more for kinematic viscosity determination of gasoline, diesel, lubricating oil, fuel oil, and other petroleum products.
