This automatic scratch tester is used for scratch resistance, abrasion resistance and solvent resistance testing of paints, varnishes and composite coatings. Multi-functional with scratch test, cross-cut test, solvent resistance (MEK) test and abrasion test capabilities. It is ideal multi-functional equipment for coating performance testing in paints, plastics, leather, automotive, furniture and other industries.

Working Principle: Test samples are fixed to the moving slide plate via guide rails. A movable crossbeam on two columns carries test tools and loads. During scratch testing, the tool contacts the sample while it moves forward. At the test point, the guide plate lifts the tool, allowing lateral movement for a series of scratches at different pressures. For reciprocating tests, samples move back and forth with preset cycle counts.

• Scratch test: Single stroke, adjustable pressure, preset speed for scratch resistance evaluation

• Cross-cut test: Single stroke, adjustable pressure, spacing controlled manually or via software for adhesion evaluation

• Solvent resistance test (MEK): Reciprocating cycles, preset count, felt pad with various liquids (solvents, oil, brake fluid, cleaners) for chemical resistance evaluation

• Abrasion test: Reciprocating cycles, preset count for wear resistance evaluation
